The Meaning of Psalm 23 in the Original Hebrew
Written by King David, a shepherd before he was a king, Psalm 23 is a song of trust: God guides, provides, protects, and stays close through every valley.
In Jewish tradition, Psalm 23 (Mizmor L'David) is sung at the third Shabbat meal and recited for comfort at funerals, shiva, and yahrzeit. For Christians, it's one of the most memorized passages in the Bible.
