The verse is so central that when Eicha is read on Tisha B'Av, this line is repeated after the final verse so the book closes on hope rather than grief. It is also sung every week as the Torah is returned to the Ark, and it is part of the Shema Koleinu prayer during Selichot and Yom Kippur.

Placing the verse over the stones of the Kotel – the last remnant of the Temple Mount retaining wall – turns the words into the place they are reaching for.

Jewish Wall Art for Your Home

Warm gold and Jerusalem-stone tones on a clean white background make this Hebrew scripture print a natural fit for modern, minimalist, and traditional Jewish homes.
